Individually Handcrafted
- Each style is custom made to capture the fine detail,
color and texture for true realism. Styles are made in several designs to further
add to a natural appearance of a non-repeated pattern. They defy detection as anything
other than the "Real Thing", yet they are more enduring and lower maintenance than the
"Real Thing".
Multi-Piece Units
- Make unit installation fast and easy. Each unit weighs
25 lbs making them light enough to handle easily yet heavy enough to retain their
position in the ground. They are approximately 20" long, 3-1/2" wide and 5-1/2" high.
The bottoms are flat. Each unit is short enough to give and go with the frost, yet
large enough to settle in and become stable in the spring.
Easy to Layout
- Landscape Edgers are most often installed by setting them
at the border of an edged bed. They do not have to be dug in. They settle in to the
ground under their own weight and become stable. Landscape Edgers stand up well to a
string trimmer. However if a trim free installation is desired then follow the installation
directions illustrated to the right.
Note: Our Landscape Edging® does not have a lawn mower flange. These flanges, offered
from other manufacturers, serve to destabilize the stone. Also our Landscape Edging® is
taller and provides a more dramatic sight line and a more effective barrier for mower blowback.
- Landscape Edgers are offered in straights and curves. Curves are ideal for applications
requiring radius of curvature from about 10” to about 36” if the radius required is larger than
that then straight pieces can be segmented appear as a gentle sweeping arc. As a reference all
the photos above were done with exclusively straight Edgers, with the exception of the lower
left cobblestone edger picture. That installation uses two curved stones the rest are straights.
- The major applications where curved Landscape Edgers are used are in circles around trees.
Below is a chart that illustrates how many stones are required for various radii. Nine curved
units will make a 5 ft. circle. By adding or subtracting bricks and making slight layout adjustments,
a much larger or smaller circle or oval may be constructed.
- Curved Brick Landscape Edgers are offered in left and right curves to accommodate both bends
in the same installation. Either may be used to make a complete circle but care must be taken to
consider the counts of each that will be required. Wood and cobblestone Edgers are not slanted so
the left and right bend pieces are one and the same.
